Big green bringers of cheer
As an update on my search for a clean expletive (a cursing patch, as I like to call it), I heard my supervisor utter "Crickets!" yesterday as a response to the printer jamming. I like it, but it seems that the position of the word in my mouth makes it hard for it to be an organic reaction to frustrating stimuli. One can't say it very loudly, or prolong the syllables because it's such a closed word. It's sort of a mutter-under-the-breath, think-before-you're-angry word. This may be good. I'll let you know how it works out.
"Tomorrow: Snow along with gusty winds at times. Cold. High 26F. Winds N at 25 to 35 mph. 6 to 10 inches of snow expected."
It's a beautiful day out. As much as I love the pretense of sun that Boston puts up (though the air is still cold as a turd in a freezer), if it's going to be so cold, I'd rather have loads of snow to play in. The big green blob's going to bring me snow!
